The skipper will always make the best decision for the sailboat and the families. Once all the families are booked, the itinerary will be modified based on the desired activities of the group.

Day 0

Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia

You will fly into Tahiti, the main island in French Polynesia. You are welcome to come in early and stay for a few days before starting your sailing experience. On the day of your sailing, you will fly into Raiatea island (takes an hour) or take a ferry (takes 6 hours)

Day 1

Raiatea island

Begin your Tahitian adventure in Raiatea, the cultural and spiritual heart of French Polynesia. Known for its rich history and vibrant traditions, Raiatea offers a perfect introduction to the wonders of Polynesia. You will meet your sailing family for the next 8 days around 1pm and go over the specifics and rules with the skipper and make group decisions on the food onboard. Part of your group will then visit a local grocery store to stock up on ingredients for your week obnboard. You will then board your new home, get oriented around the sailboat and start exploring the islands.

Day 2

Anapa

Head to the Anapa Pearl Farm, renowned for its skilled pearl divers, unique aquatic reserve, and vibrant coral garden. Begin your visit by making a tour reservation and mooring at the farm. Here, you'll learn about the fascinating process of pearl cultivation and discover why this region is celebrated for producing and exporting exquisite pearls.

  • Lagoon Adventures: After your tour, dive into the crystal-clear lagoon to snorkel among the rich marine life or enjoy other water activities.
  • Rainforest Hike: Venture into the lush rainforest and embark on a hike to spot the Tiare Apetahi, a rare and beautiful flower found only in this region.
Day 3

Motu To'opua

Anchor at the picturesque Motu To'opua on Bora Bora, where you can delight in swimming and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters. Then, take a mooring at the renowned Bloody Mary’s restaurant. Explore the underwater life, go for a paddleboard ride, jump in the warm Polynesian water, enjoy the sun and relax.

Surrounded by golden sands and glistening turquoise waters, it is a genuine premium holiday spot. The best activities are water based and these include scuba diving, snorkelling, jetskiing, paddle-boarding, rafting, jet boating, kayaking, shark diving and many more. Dry land excursions include island tours by quad-bike and 4WD. A boat trip to the Lagoonarium is well worth it.

Bora Bora has a number of fine dining restaurants as well as others providing a wide range of food including Sushi, French, European, Asian and other cuisines.

Sail to the east side of the lagoon, where you can swim with turtles, rays, sharks, and a variety of fish. In the afternoon, cruise along the southern shore of the island to explore the magnificent coral reef. This reef is renowned for being one of the most pristine and vibrant in the region.

Day 5

Huahine is famous for its sacred eels which guests can feed from a bridge crossing the stream where they live.

Your Sailboat

Amenities

The exact sailboat configuration depends on availability at the time of booking. However, most of the boats we charter have 6 cabins and can fit up to 12 people onboard in addition to the skipper.

Most cabins have double beds with one cabin with 2 bunk beds.

In order to ensure the best experience, we have a short interview with the prospective families looking to sail with us. We arrange charters based on age range of the kids and family compositions.

Several sailing boats sailing together as a flotilla are possible, if there are more families looking to book.

The pictures you see here are examples of boat set ups that we would be chartering.

Onboard Amenities

Fully Equipped Galley: The spacious kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, allowing your to prepare tasty meals throughout your journey in comfort.
Entertainment Systems: Enjoy onboard entertainment with a range of audio-visual systems, including a flat-screen TV, sound system, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Outdoor Living: The expansive deck areas provide plenty of space for sunbathing, dining al fresco, and enjoying the breathtaking views of French Polynesia
Watersports: A kayak, paddleboard and water toys will be available, as well as snorkeling equipment.

What other sailors say

We were allowed us to steer the catamaran and were taught everything about sailing when we had the desire to learn. But very often we were just sunbathing, enjoying meals and drinks, and fantastic views around. Should there be a chance to repeat this experience, we will learn much more from Sergy, the skipper.

Alisa Garaeva

Yachting trip was easily one of the best vacations I've ever had. And not only was it due to amazing company, landscapes, seeing the sunrise on my birthday at an active volcano, and many more adventures, but definitely also due to our skipper. His captainship approach is a great balance between being very relaxed most of the time, like let's do whatever makes sense and vote, and being very composed and directional when needed.

Marina Golodnikova

We were explained all the safety features of the yacht, and showed how to build the best route according to the latest weather forecast. I was asking how to steer the yacht and set up sails, and our skipper was really happy to share and coach. On top of that, we were swimming in the open sea right from the yacht and saw dolphins. Must have experience!

Payment terms

100% of the payment is due at the time of the booking. Depending on the yacht, there might be a small security deposit that is fully refundable at the end of the cruise.

Is there an educational component to this cruise?

Yes, this sailing has a "learn to sail" educational component. Everyone onboard is considered crew and everyone helps out and works as a team. All participants over age of 10 will receive a yacht crew certification recognized by ISSA

I get seasick. Is this for me?

We understand that seasickness can be a concern for some travelers. General sailing time each day is about 3-4 hours.

The lagoons of The Islands of Tahiti are protected by coral reefs, so the ocean swell won’t rock the boat!

Here are a few tips and measures we take to ensure your comfort:

1. Prevention:

  • Medication: Consider bringing seasickness medication or patches, which can be very effective in preventing and alleviating symptoms. It's best to consult with your doctor for recommendations.
  • Natural Remedies: Ginger tablets, acupressure wristbands, and staying hydrated can help manage seasickness naturally.

2. Onboard Comfort:

  • Stabilized Sailing: Our catamarans are designed for stability, minimizing the motion felt on board. Our experienced crew will also plan routes to avoid rough seas whenever possible.
  • Fresh Air and Ventilation: Spending time on deck in the fresh air and focusing on the horizon can help reduce symptoms. The catamaran's spacious and well-ventilated areas are perfect for this.

3. Crew Support:

  • Personalized Care: Our crew is trained to assist guests who experience seasickness. They can provide advice, support, and make adjustments to the itinerary if necessary to ensure your comfort.
  • Calm Anchorages: We choose calm and well-protected anchorages for overnight stays, reducing the likelihood of seasickness while at rest.

4. Onboard Amenities:

  • Comfortable Cabins: Each cabin is equipped with comfortable bedding and climate control to help you rest and recover if you feel unwell.
  • Balanced Meals: Our chef prepares balanced meals that are gentle on the stomach and can cater to specific dietary needs to help manage seasickness.

If you are prone to seasickness or have any concerns, please let us know in advance. We're committed to making your sailing experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

Are there excursions during the sailing?

Yes, you will be going on land daily and your activities will be tailored specifically for the worldschooling families on board. These excursions are designed to provide enriching educational experiences, cultural immersion, and family-friendly water and land adventures.

Do you faciliate group communication?

Yes, all the families and the skipper will be added to a Whatsapp group to get to know each other before the sailing and discuss the itinerary

How do I know if we get along with the other families?

I think that's a question you need to ask yourself. We have never had an issue where families did not get along.

During our past trips, even introverts have enjoyed sporadic company of other introverts, while their kids were able to be social and extroverts had fun with the whole group. No matter what you will have the perfect experience for you.

What are some of the extra expenses should I anticipate?

Food, transfers, tips, airfare, pre-/post lodging and on-land expenses are not included in the price of the cruise.

What is the food situation?

This is an true sailing experience, not a 2000 person cruise, so there's no chef onboard ( if there was, we would have to charge double and take one less family to give the cabin to the chef). So this sailing is set up as a communal family learning experience with other worldschooling families and kids of the same age.

There are no passengers on this boat, everyone becomes a part of the crew. The families will have access to a beautiful fully equipped kitchen where food can be prepared. You will also have opportunities to go ashore for meals. But even for people who don't love cooking or cleaning up, they end up loving doing it at sea as part of the group. Kids all love doing tasks to help the adults as well and it becomes a communal village experience.

The group will make a list and go grocery shopping the first day together to stock up the boat with food and drinks. There will be stops at island restaurants almost every day for dinners, if the group desires.

Just imagine sailing with 5 other families who have become your best friends, cooking together, drinking wine, helping each other, playing in the crystal clear waters of Islands of Tahiti. Doesn't sound so bad, huh?
