Every day we will do an activity together as a group that will allow us to not only explore the amazing mountains of Austria and learn about the lifestyles and culture of the locals, but to bond together as a group. We will be exploring forests, lakes and streams, hiking mountains, eating and playing at the summits, riding local trains and buses. Here is a list of all the activities we might be doing. The final itinerary will depend on the weather, specific group's abilities and ages, as well as availability

It's highly recommended that you select the Half-Board meal plan or Breakfast plan so you can have breakfast and dinner provided on property.
The food is excellent and it will be very convenient to have two meals of the day taken care of and it's MUCH cheaper than eating out at restaurants.
Having breakfast on-site will help keep everyone on time for activities.
Lunch will be on your own and most likely up on the mountain or in whatever village we are in that day.

- Freshly prepared eggs how you like. Breakfast buffet with lots of options from fruit to pancakes and fresh squeezed juices.

- Dinner served in a combination of buffet and made to order dishes.

Below is an ESTIMATE of the price for your family.

Prices are total per family for 14 nights from June 1-15. (June 15-29 rates are slightly higher)
If you choose to book more nights at the hotel it will increase your cost. These prices below are just to give you an idea of what it will roughly cost you family situation. We understand that not every family situation is listed here, but just some of the common ones.
The most accurate pricing will be on the resort website you will be booking on,
but will be very very close to what we have quoted below for budgeting purposes. The resort website has dynamic pricing, however
if you put in the group code into your inquiry you will get a proposal back from the front desk for the correct pricing.
Rooms are available with a breakfast option or a half board option which includes both breakfast and dinner.
We highly recommend the Half-Board option for cost savings and convenience

There is a Retreat Fee for each session of €150 per person.

Other than the small fee to Every Avenue Travel, your room and board charges will be paid to the resort directly. We have a special code to use when booking the resort to identify you as part of our group. You will receive the resort information and booking code after your retreat fee is paid.

There will be two transactions:
- To Every Avenue Travel for the retreat fee.
- To Mondi Resort for the accommodations and meals plan.

There is no age limit. The hotel provides the following free of charge upon request ahead of time:

Every single travel experience is educational. On this trip we will not be sitting in classrooms, or looking at textbooks. We will be exploring, immersing, learning from doing. We will be sharing all the knowledge about the area that we have collected over the years. We will be encouraging kids and adults to break out of their shell and step a little out of their comfort zone and remember what it's like to be a wild child. This might not be in your local school's curicullum but it will be transformational in another way.
We hope that you will leave inspired, full of wonder and with your soul well rested.
Yes, every day we will take a group field trip to different attractions in the area. The activities listed on the website is an example of what you might experience. We'll make a plan based on weather and availability for the whole two weeks prior to group's arrival. You do not have to follow this plan and may explore the area on your own or stay and enjoy the resort at your leisure. Whoever wants to join the group for the days' scheduled activity is welcome to do so. Please note that bus fare, train tickets, entry fees to attractions or lift tickets are to be purchased separately.
Yes, all the families will be added to a Whatsapp group to get to know each other before the trip and discuss the itinerary. We will also use whatsapp to communicate in Austria.
I think that's a question you need to ask yourself. We have never had an issue whether families did not getting along.
During our past trips, introverts have enjoyed sporadic company of other introverts, while their kids were able to be social and extroverts had fun with the whole group. No matter what you will have the perfect experience for you.
Our first and foremost personal belief is in freedom of choice. All of the trips we organized lead with that belief. You are NEVER required to do an activity you do not want to do or participate in group's gatherings that you do not want to participate in. We will always encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, but ultimately you know yourself and your family better than anyone else and you will need to be the judge for what aligns with you and your family best.
Food outside the resort meal plans, transfers, tips, airfare, pre-/post lodging, attraction tickets, lift tickets, day trip expenses are not included in the price. Public buses are very easy and run very often. Much of the travel around the area will be done by bus or train which are both very affordable. Lift tickets to get on the mountain are a little more expensive, we are waiting for the mountain to release their summer prices, but based on last year, we should have access to discounted lift tickets at 29 euros per adult and 17 euros per child per day or multi-day tickets at about 72/43 euros for a 6 day pass ( which is about how many days we will need for those specific mountains)
The resort does have breakfast only and half-board options for dining that can be added to your reservation. If you do not choose one of these options, all food will be on your own. Keep in mind that eating outside of the resort will be inconvenient if you want to stick to group's activities, since it would take extra time. However you're absolutely welcome to do so. The rooms do have small kitchenettes if you want to prepare some of your own meals. The best option will be to choose the half-board to have your breakfast and dinner taken care of. The food is amazing and well worth it! Lunch will most likely be out on the mountain or in another village while exploring the area. Light lunch is available for purchase at the resort if you choose not to go out that day or you can always walk to any of the local restaurants.
Half-Board includes breakfast and dinner at the resort restaurant.
The retreat fee is 150 Euros. The fee is PER PERSON. This is the retreat fee to reserve your place. It also helps cover the administration and organization costs and on-site retreat tour guides. Infants 12 months and under by the time of the trip do not have to pay a registration fee. (Just please make a note under your name in the registration form that you will have an infant along)
The retreat fee is refundable if you do not end up attending the retreat.
*If you want to join for both scheduled trips and stay for the entire month, you must pay for both tour fees separately. You can book the hotel for the entire 4 weeks at once.
Resort Cancellation Terms
- Until 30 days before arrival free of charge
- 29 to 22 days before arrival 30% of the price
- 21 to 15 days before arrival 40% of the price
- 14 to 7 days before arrival 60% of the price
- 6 to 3 days before arrival 75% of the price
- 2 days before arrival and no show 100%
In any case, we recommend travel cancellation insurance.
Retreat Fees:
If you want to join for both scheduled trips and stay for the entire month, you must pay for both registration fees separately. (You will pay the 150 Euros for each person twice, two transactions)
Hotel Booking:
You can book the hotel for the entire 4 weeks at once. No need for separate reservations. (You will pay for the hotel reservation in one payment, one transaction)
