Daily non-stop activities, broadway shows, unlimited food, fancy dinners, dance parties, trivia, live music, waterslides, pool time, new cities and ports to explore on shore, daily gym time and exersice classes, spa and sauna time, casino games, drinks, dessert, amazing conversations, supervised kids activities and so much more.

Stress-free experience

Cruising is a way to let go, relax and reconnect with your adult self while younger kids enjoy their social time at kids club and older kids roam the ship safely with their friends and have group dinners together.

Itinerary at a glance

Itinerary day by day

Day 1

Sydney, Australia

As your ship passes Harbour Heads, you are presented with the shimmering skyline of Sydney - hailed by many seafarers as "the most beautiful harbor in the world." Two prominent landmarks, Harbour Bridge and the sail-like curves of the Sydney Opera House, grace the backdrop of this picturesque harbor.

   Days 2-4

Days At Sea

Indulge in fine dining, relaxing spa treatments, and a variety of onboard activities. Enjoy cooking demonstrations, live shows, and fun for all ages.

Day 5

Tauranga, New Zealand

New Zealand's natural bounty is always on display at the Bay of Plenty. It was Captain James Cook who in 1769 aptly named this bay, thanks to the prosperous Maori villages of the region.

Day 6

Auckland, New Zealand

Straddling a narrow isthmus created by 60 different volcanoes, New Zealand's former capital boasts scenic beauty, historical interest and a cosmopolitan collection of shops, restaurants, museums, galleries and gardens.

Day 7-8

Days At Sea

Relax poolside or join dance classes, trivia contests, and enrichment programs. Unwind with a massage at the Lotus Spa® or lounge in The Sanctuary.

  Day 9

Pago Pago, American Samoa

Pago Pago Bay is one of the most dramatic harbors in the South Pacific, a region known for dramatic landscapes. Eons ago, the massive seaward wall of a volcano collapsed and the sea poured in. Today, a dramatic mountain peaks encircle the deep harbor.

  Day10-12

Days At Sea

Dive into Discovery at SEA™ programs, sports courts, and art galleries. Evenings offer Movies Under the Stars® and live musical productions in the Princess Theater.

 Day 13

Tahiti (Papeete), French Polynesia

Papeete, the beating heart of French Polynesia, dances to the rhythm of island life while embracing modernity. Set against the backdrop of Tahiti's emerald mountains and azure waters, this bustling capital city captivates with its fusion of French flair and Polynesian culture.

 Day 14

Moorea, French Polynesia

To discover the storied Polynesia of Melville, Gauguin and Michener, you have to travel to Tahiti's outer islands. Moorea, the former haunt of Tahitian royalty, is one such island where you still see fishermen paddling outrigger canoes, pareo-clad women strolling along the roads and children fishing from island bridges.

 Day 15-20

Days At Sea

Experience the SeaWalk®, shop at the Piazza, and savor culinary delights at specialty restaurants. Enjoy live entertainment and rejuvenate at the Lotus Spa®.

 Day 21

Honolulu, Hawaii

Home to nearly half a million people, Honolulu is Hawaii's state capital and only major city. The city of Honolulu and the island of Oahu offer a wealth of historic, cultural and scenic attractions.

 Day 22-26

Days At Sea

Enjoy sports like basketball, tennis, and golf putting. Attend the Princess Live! studio show, explore the shops, or relax in hot tubs and freshwater pools.

 Day 27

Los Angeles, California

The City of Angels always hovers between dream and reality. Once a near-forgotten colonial outpost, the pueblo metamorphosed into an agrarian paradise before reinventing itself as a movie colony.

What other families say

We had a ton of fun activities and gatherings on the ship. The other families were awesome and my kid continues to ask about them, two months later. If you're considering going on one of these trips — stop thinking about it and just go. You'll create wonderful memories for years to come!

Tara-Nicolle
family of 2

We are so happy that we found out about the amazing cruise we took with Elena! The entire process was smooth sailing!  Our family of four had an amazing time and made such wonderful memories. We are now in love with cruising and can’t wait to take another trip.

Kayse
family of 5

It was incredible to connect with other worldschooling families, sharing our alternative schooling experiences with each other and spending time together. Our son immediately made lifelong friends, and we all enjoyed the sense of community on board. We never want to take a "normal" cruise again.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do we book?

To join this cruise, you will be booking through our travel agency, Fora Travel. You can contact us through WhatsApp, Facebook messenger or email to get us all the information we need to get you the most current accurate pricing and book you into the worldschooling group. You can find our contact information at the bottom of this page. Once we have everything we need to book, we will send you a link to a secure credit card vault to add the payment info. You can also call us with the card info. We book directly through the cruise line's back end, as a travel agent, so the prices are always the same as on the cruiseline website plus the additional travel agent perks we can usually get for you.

Do you charge extra to organize these cruises

No, we do not charge anything to organize worldschooling cruises. As travel agents, we book directly with the cruise line and are compensated by the cruiseline directly. Your cabin price will be exactly the same as if you were to book directly with the cruise line. We do have some additional perks and amenities that we can offer on some cruiselines depending on which cabin you book.

Can I join you if I book on my own?

No, only families who booked through us are considered part of the worldschooling group. If you want to sail on your own, you are welcome to book yourself. If you want to be a part of the worldschooling cruise group, you need to contact us to book. We spend countless hours putting these group trips together and promoting them to make sure that you have a great group of families to travel with. We do not charge anything for that service, apart from the commission the cruise lines pay us naturally.

Additionally, all the families who book into the group are connected in a Whatsapp group early on to get to know each other and make other plans before and after the cruise.

Is there an educational component to this cruise?

Worldschooling cruises are DEEPLY educational in their nature. There are multiple public cruise ship organized talks during each sailing on how the ships and operations work that kids and adults can attend. The social experience of spending time with a group of diverse kids from different families in our group is often more educational and valuable than school itself. Some cruise lines offer additional enrichment opportunities throughout the cruise with talks on different topics. There are trivia and game shows daily that can be used as an educational component. We usually try to request the engineer and ship manager to come and give a talk to the kids, however that's subject to ship's approval. Children as young as 10 can have the kind of freedom on the ship that they can't find anywhere else and that, in itself, becomes an incredibly learning and growing experience for many families.

Aside from what was mentioned, there is no additional scheduled educational programming to worldschooling cruises, because the cruise experience is extremely scheduled out and busy with activities in itself. Having other families join in the fun makes it even busier as the kids and adults tend to enjoy the company of like-minded friends.. Most families find that they decide to forego school all together and just let the kids enjoy the freedom and the friendships. We have also found that families appreciate having group time and alone time and adding more activities to what is already scheduled by the ship creates too much stress.

What group activities will be organized?

With the cruise ship's scheduled activities and programming, plus having other families join in the fun makes the sailing pretty busy, as the kids and adults tend to enjoy the company of like-minded friends over organized activities. We have found that families appreciate having group time and alone time and adding more activities to what is already scheduled by the ship creates too much stress.

For that reason, we limited scheduled group activities to meet and greet on the first day and then a group dinner that same evening so get to know each other better. That tends to be enough to get everyone acquanted. The kids become instant friends and the adults usually break out into slightly smaller groups of people they resonate with and spend more time with. Depending on the dynamic and personalities, some groups do a lot of things together, others spend more time in smaller groups and occasionally meet all together for parties or dinners.

We usually try to request the engineer and ship manager to come and give a talk to the kids, however that's subject to ship's approval.

There will be a way to communicate with the whole group on the ship, so you can always request company for any activities. All cabins will be linked for dining reservations so it is easy to eat together or separately depending on each family's wishes on daily basis.

During our past cruises, introverts have enjoyed sporadic company of other introverts, while their kids were able to be social and extroverts had fun with the whole group. No matter what you will have the perfect experience for you.

I don't think I can handle that many days at sea

Sea days are the fun days. If you are new to cruising, you might not know yet, just how much fun sea days are. Port days are great for exploring new places, but they can be exhausting and don't really allow any time to explore all the fun features and activities the ship offers. Consequitive sea days give you more of a routine and plenty of time to enjoy your worldschooling group, connect with others, join in the ship's activities and explore the floating "city". The longer I have ever had was 11 consequitive days at sea with the worldschooling group and it was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had.

Are there group excursions for the worldschooling group?

Group excursions are organized by the families themselves. We don't feel its our place to dictate which excursions everyone wants and do not want to put uncessary pressure on the families to explore only with the group. So all excursions are ogranized on individual basis, however we highly recommend that you share your plans in the whatsapp group and see if anyone shares your desires and wants to join.

Do you faciliate group communication?

Yes, on all cruiselines and ships, there's an ability to communicate through the ship's app. Your designated organizer will create a group with everyone's stateroom numbers, so the group can text. Prior to the cruise, there's a WhatsApp group where all communication takes place, as well as a google document with the detailed information that each family chose to share about themself, and tips for the cruise.

Will I get sea sick?

Most ships are so large that sea sickness is not an issue, even for those who experience car sickness and small boat sickness. They have very strong stabilizers and the crew does their best to avoid bad weathre. In our experience, 2 week ocean crossings usually have about 2 rocky days that do not impact most people. We do recommend bringing some sea sickness pills and patches just in case, but they are rarely needed.

How do I know if we get along with the other families?

I think that's a question you need to ask yourself. We have never had an issue whether families did not get along.

During our past cruises, introverts have enjoyed sporadic company of other introverts, while their kids were able to be social and extroverts had fun with the whole group. No matter what you will have the perfect experience for you.

What is included in the price?

We always quote prices with port taxes and fees included.

INCLUDED:

  • port taxes and fees
  • cabin
  • food in main restaurants, buffet and most cafes
  • water, tea, coffee
  • scheduled ship activities
  • kids and teen clubs

What are some of the extra expenses should I anticipate?

Generally speaking, most families on a budget can get by with not spending much more than the cruise fare.

Gratuities are usually mandatory on most ships and vary from $16-$20 per person but can be adjusted by visiting the guest services desk on the last day of the sailing.
